Journal Specific Instructions

Manuscript Format

Length
Articles should be 15,000–20,000 characters in length (3–4 journal pages). The character count can be viewed in Word 2010 using the “Review – Word Count – Characters (including spaces)” function.
Structure
All articles must have a title of no more than 50 characters and, if applicable, a subtitle of no more than 60 characters (including spaces).
At the beginning of the article, there is an abstract that summarizes the main points of the article. It should consist of no more than 4 sentences and not exceed 400 characters (including spaces).
The main body of the article should be clearly structured using headings. You may use up to 3 levels of headings (Heading 1, 2, and 3).
Boxes help convey background knowledge or explanatory information to the reader. Key points highlight particularly important statements.
If possible, try to present structured information in tables (see below for more details on tables). You are also welcome to add explanatory illustrations (see Fig.). Please limit yourself to illustrations that enhance the reader’s understanding of the text. Please include references to the tables/illustrations in the body text.
The article concludes with your contact information. Please provide your name (with title, if applicable), your address, and an email address. If available, you may also include a link to your website.
Spelling must conform to the DUDEN and Pschyrembel standards. The publisher reserves the right to determine the typographical layout.
