Klinische Monatsblätter für Augenheilkunde (KliMo) is the oldest continuously published ophthalmology journal in the world and has been in publication since 1863.
As the official journal of the German Ophthalmological Society (DOG), it promotes scientific exchange between research, clinical practice, and patient care. The journal combines scientific quality with direct clinical applicability.

Types of Articles Published
The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, case reports, clinically relevant short communications, and editor-curated focus issues. Each issue additionally includes a quality-assured CME article to support structured continuing medical education. For original articles and review articles submitted in German, the publisher takes care of the translation into English and also publishes the English version online.
