Journal Specific Instructions
How do I become an author for ergopraxis?
Unlike academic journals, which publish original research, the ergopraxis editorial team, together with the editors and the advisory board, determines the topics for each issue and works closely with the authors—from planning the articles to editing the text and designing the layout. The reason: We are committed to presenting specialized topics in a way that is clear, practical, and engaging. If this aligns with your goals, we would appreciate a brief “outline” for your article:
• What is your topic?
• For which target audience would you like to write the article (students, teachers, staff, practice owners, occupational therapists specializing in pediatrics/neurology/..., those returning to the field, ...)?
• What motivates you to write the article? What is your intention?
• What qualifies you as the author of this article?
• What key message will your article convey?
• What outline do you have in mind for this?
• Should readers learn about, understand, apply, analyze, further develop, or evaluate the aspect/topic addressed?
• Are there any scientific studies on the topic?
• Will you include a case study?
Please send your proposal to ergopraxis@thieme.de. Please do not submit a finished manuscript or a complete resume. And please understand that we cannot provide immediate feedback on the content. For press law reasons, please also note: We cannot publish texts that have already appeared or will appear in the same wording in another medium.
We are excited and look forward to your proposal!
