Publications

Aktuelle Kardiologie regularly publishes brief reviews on selected key topics.
Each brief review concisely summarizes the current state of the art in the relevant field. The focus is on timeliness and practical relevance.
Would you like to publish a brief review in Aktuelle Kardiologie? Please note the following guidelines:
Formal criteria for brief reviews
  • Manuscript length: The manuscript should not exceed approximately 18,000 characters, including spaces.
  • Title page: Please provide the title of the work in German and English.
  • Abstract: in German and English.
  • Keywords: 3–5 in German and English.
  • Bibliography: No more than 15 references, arranged chronologically according to their appearance in the text and numbered consecutively.
Key didactic elements
  • What is important: At the beginning of the article, new findings and the most important aspects of the article are summarized in bullet points in an info box.
  • In Brief: At the end of each section of content, summaries accompanying the text in an info box (“In Brief”) highlight the value for readers.
  • Conclusion: Please provide a conclusion at the end of your article (max. 500 characters, including spaces)
